The Kingom of Makedon was a sovereign state that ruled over much of present day northern Syara from 1715 to 1875.

Following the collapse of Arkoennite rule over Syara, the Kingdom of Makedon declared its independence in 1715 under the leadership of King Otos III. According to the Royal Court, the Kingdom was the continuation of the defunct Makedonian Empire and its legal successor, and therefore claimed ownership of all Syara. This claim was summarily rejected by the three other Syaran successor states, and after brief conflicts with the Kingdom of Galania and the Scitarian Commonwealth, Makedon did not attempt to assert this claim. The wealthiest of the independent Syaran realms, the Makedonians nevertheless continued to play a major role in guiding the affairs of Syara as a whole.

Supported by extensive silver and coal mines along its highlands, the Kingdom rapidly asserted itself as a major power in north-west Siduri. Rapid industrialization and population growth followed suit through the 18th century, and by the 1850s Makedon had outstripped the other Syaran states in economic and political power. Conflict with Scitaria and Galania during the Wars of Syaran Succession necessitated a strong military and industrial base, which led Makedon to field an large and well trained army. Following Galania's defeat in the Galanian-Ruvelkan War that saw the region of Zemplen lost to the Ruvelkan Imperium, Makedon began pursuing a more belligerent attitude against the Ruvelkans, which were only further heightened by the establishment of the Ruvelkan Socialist Republic. In 1872 the Ruvelkan-Makedonian War resulted in a crushing Makedonian victory, while the threat of further Ruvelkan aggression led to the Conference of Pella and the Unification of Syara, where the Kingom was officially incorporate as a Realm of the Republic of Syara.

A highly militarized autocracy, the Kingdom was the last vestige of Imperial Makedonian rule and culture. By the 18th century the bulk of Syara's population had been Slavicized, rendering many of the traditional Hellenic customs of the Makedonian government arcane and obsolete. Unification officially transformed Makedon from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional one, though the Royal Family continued to exert immense influence over the affairs of the Makedonian Realm.
