Kota Bulu
Kota Bulu (meaning "Bulu City") is the future proposition of a unified megalopolis on the island of Bulu in Sintelia. The island is the most-populated island in Sintelia, and one of the most-populated islands in the world, with a population of just under 55 million. Bulu is home to four of the ten largest cities in Sintelia and its population density of 2,310/km2 is greater than some cities, including Nebligen, X and X. Proponents of the concept of Kota Bulu argue that integrating the island will boost the Sintelian economy as a whole, making the country more competitive on the global stage. Opponents of the idea, usually from outside of Bulu, object to the growing dominance of the island within Sintelia as a whole, arguing that it will increase economic inequality and widen the development gap between urban and rural Sintelia.
Bulunese intercity integration can already be seen in ideas such as the Gumulong Line of the Bengkudu AMT, Bengkudu's rapid transit network, connecting the city with the neighbouring Gumulong, the second-largest city in Sintelia. The two cities already form the Bengkudu–Gumulong urban area, which has a population of almost 16 million and is one of the largest urban areas in the world.
The Sintelian government has also been a proponent of further development on the island, and in 1993 a successful bid from the state saw it become the location of Sintelia's new purpose-built capital city, Bandar Kekuatan, which was completed in 1998 and now has a population of almost a million. The island housing Sintelia's government infrastructure as well as its economic centre has made Bulu considerably more developed than other states in Sintelia.
