	National Coalition is the dominant political party in Alexandria. The party is the largest in Alexandria. As of 2019 the party constitutes a two thirds majority in the National Forum. National Coalition members have constituted a majority in the forum since 1993. The party was formed in 1982 by Égide Lajoie, the grandson of Émile Lajoie, after a split in the Conservative Coalition between the Moderate members who joined the Alexandrian Democrats and the Conservative wing who formed the new party. The party won the 1991 Presidential Election by a 11 Point margin over their nearest rivals and won a super-majority in the National Forum two years later at the Mid-terms. The Party was described by foreign observers as Authoritarian and Illiberal and has repeatedly faced criticism for claims of Election Fraud.

	Founded in January 2020 by René Hauet, a former member of the National Coalition and member of the National Forum, the party appeals to Moderate members of the National Coalition, 6 members of various local councils including the Mayor of Saulès have defected from the National Coalition. Two members of the National Coalition later joined Hauet in March following a bitter dispute with the party leadership. On the 21st of April 2020, 12 FM's defected to the party from the National Coalition

	The Social Democratic Party is the main opposition party in Alexandria and is the one of the oldest existing parties in Alexandrian history. The party, which was once the largest in the country was last in power in 1991 and 1993 when it lost the Presidency and the National Forum to the National Coalition. The Party was formed in 1935 by Marc-Antoine Alméras following Alexandria's independence from Gaullica and was modelled off the Social Democratic parties of Eastern Euclea. The party was elected to power in 1955 winning in a landslide to the outgoing Alexandrian Democrats. The party went onto have three Presidents before it was voted out.

	The Republican Party is a Far-left party. The party was formed in 2008 by former Trade Union leader Gaspard Vannier. The party's aims are to create a Socialist Republic in Alexandria similar to Swetania, to nationalise all major businesses and promote worker's rights. The party is associated with the Alexandrian Workers Front, a far-left Paramilitary organisation which has been named a terrorist organisation by the National Coalition.

	The Green Party was formed in a merger between the Feminist Coalition and the Green Initiative in 1992. The party achieved little electoral success until four Councillors were elected to the Lafayette City Council and became the balance of power in 2016 between a coalition of opposition parties and the National Coalition, the party joined the Opposition and the National Coalition lost control of the city. The Party's main aim is to establish a green economy and make Alexandria a net-zero producer of Carbon Dioxide by 2027. The party supports the National Coalition on it's policies on the Environment.

	Formerly one of Alexandria's main two parties, the Democrates of Alexandria or Alexandrian Democrats have existed since before the country's foundation. The party is largely accredited for helping establish Alexandria as a modern nation, Emíle Lajoie was the party's founder but left the party when he became President. The Party's electoral decline has been well publicised. In the 2019 Presidential Election however, party leader, Yves Beauvau, came in second place beating the Social Democrats although losing to the National Coalition by a wide, albeit smaller, margin then in previous elections.
