Louis X (Louis Astor François Màrion; 11 July 1768 – 30 October 1849) was the last king of West Helderia, as well as duke of Romane, duke of Sardinia, and several other titles from 1804 until his forced abdication in 1831.

Born during the reign of his grandfather Louis VIII, Louis was the son of Louis IX of West Helderia and Germaine of Anglesburg. In November 1785, Louis' father ascended the thrones as Louis IX.

Louis succeeded to the throne in 1804 following his father's death. He began secretly negotiating with the rest of the Heldic nations in an attempt to promote greater peace and stability throughout the region; these plans backfired as the public gained knowledge. Despite his efforts to produce a surviving male heir, he had no son to succeed to the throne, and West Helderia hurtled into disintegretion as his family members competed with rival claims to the thrones. Losing the support of his subjects and family, Louis was forced to abdicate in 1831. Louis subsequently fled to Lorangia, where he stayed until his death in 1849.

Early life

Louis was born on 11 July 1768, in Gollenburg, in Upper Carovingia. His parents were Louis IX of West Helderia and Germaine of Anglesburg. At the time, his grandfather Louis VIII reigned as king.
