Grand-Commodore Lucien François Augustin Renaud de Provost, Marquis de Coindret-Dixe, Grand Maréchal de Vailleux [insert honors here] (TBD-TBD) was a Vaillais nobleman, military officer, admiral and statesman who served as the Grand Marshal of Vailleux from TBD to TBD. Considered one of the greatest military minds in history, Provost was the foremost leader of the Vaillais Campaigns (working title) of the (decade TBD) that conquered much of Regnum for Vailleux. A brilliant military administrator, naval strategist and tactician, Provost cultivated a large staff of subordinates, most notably Sébastien Meunier, who oversaw the land campaigns that Provost initiated. Provost's campaigns ushered in the Pax Vaillais, a more than century-long period during which Vailleux was the undisputed world hegemon. His lieutenants often went on to become accomplished military leaders and politicians in their own right, and the empire that Provost established would remain largely intact until the end of the Second Great War. Provost is the only person to hold the title of Grand-Commodore de Vailleux, a title created especially for him in recognition of his achievements. Although generally considered the greatest Vaillen in history, his legacy has been the subject of critical re-evaluation in recent decades amid growing awareness of atrocities committed under his command.
