The Mle 40 is a single shot, caseless 40mm under-barrel grenade launcher designed to be affixed to rifles. It was originally designed to be fitted to the FAMAS rifle, but was later modified to be fixed to the Mle 1995 and the TrGv Mle 1994 rifles.
