One of the most recent additions to the MEC was the accession of Ofrus, a nation on the west of the continent which borders Deims Kir. Their entrance into the community directly coincided with the 2022 Ofrusian energy crisis, which was a drop in the production of electricity due oil price regulation by DODM, causing some of its major mining and industrial production supply chains to slow production or even halt entirely. This relativley new development seeks to further foster economic relationships between itself and other nations in the area, as well as the short-term goal of alleviating the supply issues presented by this crisis through low-cost energy from member states.
