Mao Xieren (born 19 October 1953) is a senior Yuaneze diplomat and politician currently serving as the Foreign Minister since 2016, having served under President Xi Jingyi until 2022 and then continuing his post under Qin Chen. Mao was born in Shanghan. After graduating from secondary school in 1969, he was sent to Central Yuan where he worked in the Central Construction Army Corps. He joined the Communist Party of Yuan in 1981 and was posted to the Foreign Ministry where he accompanied delegations to the UCSS, Elastan, and Haduastan. Since becoming Foreign Minister in 2016, he has overseen the expansion of ACWAC and GECI, the latter of which was heavily influenced by Mao.
