Early life

Born in 2080, the great-grandson of Reverend Harrison Chinnakumar, the grandson of the Bishop of Cyprus and the Gulf and the son of Anglican clergyman John Chinnakumar, he was educated at British School- Al Khubhairat from the ages of five to thirteen and then Bancroft’s.

University education and clergy clergy

After graduating Bancroft’s with A-Levels in Religious Studies, History, Sociology and English, he studied Theology at Oxford becoming ordained at 21 in 2101 with a Bachelors’Degree and worked in churches in Oxfordshire. He continued studying during this time,gaining a Doctor of Divinity in 2105 and then worked in various Anglican churches amongst the Dubai expats. In 2111, he became Senior Chaplain for the Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.

Views

He supports Christians working closely with Muslims for the best interests of both groups, saying “we are united through Abraham and under God.”

He also opposes prosperity theology mentioning that “Jesus drove such people out of the temple.”

He supports capital punishment for murder, treason, child abuse and kidnapping for enslavement saying “the text used to condemn the use of capital punishment, the story of the woman caught in adultery, doesn’t feature in the earliest New Testament manuscripts, I believe it was a later addition.”


Personal life

He is married to gospel singer Mary Chinnakumar and has a son and a daughter.
