Maryam officially the Republic of Maryam is a tiny, efficient nation in the Horn of Africa, renowned for its state-planned economy, stringent health and safety legislation and keen interest in outer space. The hard-working, devout, compassionate population of 51,666,622 Ethiopians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

Maryam is a developing country that since the fall of the communist bloc has waged an incessant and extreme fight against corruption, while abandoning the policies of communism, nationalized natural resources to avoid looting. However, more than half of its population still lives in rural areas.
