Metronica is a highly successful rock band founded in Tarsas in 1981 by Horatius Gyula Deceras and Lars Elritch, an immigrant from Estovnia. The band is most known for pioneering the genre of thrash metal and is widely considered one of the great precursors to modern metal. The band has sold an estimated 110 million records worldwide and over 40 million in Tarsas alone, making them one of the most popular bands of all time. They are also known as the only band to perform on all Pardesian continents after performing at an antarctic research station in 2013. Metronica members also all run the record label, Metron Records, which currently owns all rights to Metronica songs and albums and has several other acts under contract.
