Mikaela Ólafsdóttir (Faldarunic: ᛘᛁᚴᛆᛂᛚᛆ ᚮᛚᛆᚠᛋᛑᚮᛐᛐᛁᚱ; born 11 October 1954, age 62) was the 17th Lawspeaker of the Confederation of Faldarun, serving from her election in the August of 2012 to the election of her successor in the March of 2017. Ólafsdóttir led Faldarun through a period of increased tensions with Khornera, detente with Nerotysia and the increase of Faldarunic-Kolish trade. Ólafsdóttir led a multi-faction Executive Council, managing to maintain a high level of unity among it's bickering members, working with Autonomist council Spokesperson Tecumseh Shikoba to achieve a council-wide consensus on numerous issues.
A member of the Confederate faction, Ólafsdóttir acted as it's figurehead from her rise to prominence in 2011 until leaving the political scene in 2017, though she remains committed to many of it's ideals, such as social ownership of the means of production, democratic confederalism as a system of governance and in many respects maintaining the Faldarunic status quo. Compared to other Confederates, she was described as 'belligerent' and 'non-neutral' due to her renewal of ties with Nerotysia and the increase in hostile relations with Khornera under her tenure. She was the 11th Confederate to hold the position of Lawspeaker.
