The Mirai Science and Technological Institute, abbreviated as MSTI, and colloquially called Mirai or Mirai Academy (native names: Mirai Wissenschaftlich-Technisches Institut (Illusian), Mirai Academia (Kazdelian and other Illuverendian languages), 未来の学園 (Mirai no Gakuen, Akarui)), is an Illuverendian private coeducational research university located in the city of Wissenschaftsgarten in the county of Valhallerens. It was established in 14 August 1942 by prolific Akarui Illuverendians, notably James Sorasaki, Sigismund Sato, Atsumi van Wisschanze, Atsushi Rockwell, and Kaori Mizutani. The university was named after the word mirai (未来), meaning "future".

A massive university primarily focused on the academic disciplines of STEM, Mirai holds a powerful seat within Illuverendia's academic institutions. It poses itself to be one of the greatest schools that is part of the Royal Educational Institutions, an Illuverendian league of prestigious universities, public and private in nature. True to its claim, multiple renowned Illuverendian engineers, inventors, mathematicians, and scientists have hailed from this school.
