Politics and government

Misouin's Head Of State is the Misouwi Emperor, an elected official selected from The Grand Misouwi Jury of the election year and elected by Single Transferrable Vote to lead the nation for the next 20 years. Misouin's Head Of Government is the Grand Minister, who officially rules on behalf of the Misouwi Emperor, but is unelected and represents a stabilising force within the nation. Traditionally much more conservative than the Emperor, the Grand Minister is a lifelong position inherited from their parent, the previous Grand Minister. Whilst the Emperor is the Lord General of the Armed Forces and de-jure head of the army, the Grand Minister is the Lord Executive who actually issues orders on behalf of the Misouwi Emperor and is the de-facto head of the military.

Only the immigrant ethnic Anaka belong to a different racial group, having moved south into Misouin during the Nothari wars.
