The Movement of Civic Rights (Russian: Движение гражданских прав; Dvizheniye grazhdanskikh prav) is the current ruling party of the Republic of Kryve, an unrecognised breakaway state of Gothia.
The MCR was formed in 1989 during the collapse of the Soviet Union to represent the Slavic population in Gothia. The first election of 1991 saw the MCR join the Crimean dominated Democratic Party in a coalition government under MCR leader Stanislav Holub. The Holub government attempted to change the constitution to turn the country into a federal republic but the proposal was rejected by Gothian voters, leading to the MCR to leave government and Chernyshenko declare the independent Republic of Kyrve under the Slavic Liberation Army with Holub becoming president. The MCR subsequently was banned in Gothia.
Since the creation of the Republic of Kyrve the MCR has dominated politics in Kyrve winning every election. Critics accuse the party of authoritarianism and racism towards ethnic Gothians and Muslims.
