Name-defilement

Name-defilement was a common way of adopting a religious name in the early history of Costeny; the person adopting a 'defiled' name distorted their original given name, which was considered secular or even Tastanic, to represent a complete disavowal of the worlds the cultures those names symbolized. Name-defilement fell out of favor by the 12th century.
