Tyrell-Batavius Lucaedo, known professionally as New Millenium Shakesphere, or NMS for short, is a Denzali rapper, songwriter, and producer. He is a famous rapper in Eastern Euronia and regarded as an upcoming new musician internationally. He is also credited with charitable works in lower income and minority communities. Lucaedo has regularly donated to charities and programs such as the Denzali Youth Football Organization, the Denzali National Food Pantry, and most notably the Vœyetskan government to set up shelters for the Saterocian immigrants fleeing due to the 2023 conflict.
Despite his young age, his career has defined the sub genre of rap in Denzal which has gotten attention internationally. His debut album, Jack-o-Lantern experienced unprecedented success. Since then, he has released four albums, with huge singles such as "im the imposter", "blue balls", and "captivated" that have rocked the region's music records. Lucaedo has also started appearing in significant film roles.
Early life
Lucaedo was born on 1 October 2001 to Seran parents Édouard-Graeson Lucaedo and Traquisha Plaicxalo in Kandal, Denzal. His father, Édouard-Graeson, was a mail-carrier that delivered to a portion of the southeastern area of Vovilveante. When the local government expanded the routes of the mail deliveries, Édouard-Graeson subsequently lost his job, supposedly because of the color of his skin. In December 1997, Édouard-Graeson and Traquisha moved to a smaller home in Kandal hoping to find new opportunities there. After moving, the pair both interviewed for many different jobs, but came up unsuccessful. In August 1999, Édouard-Graeson was shot in the stomach by a stray bullet outside of a bar in downtown Kandal. He was rushed to the hospital by friends and survived. Following this, Traquisha fell into depression and resorted to gambling and lost more money. In the spring of 2000, Édouard-Graeson and Traquisha found themselves homeless on the streets of Kandal.
After Tyrell-Batavius was born, his parents divorced. Tyrell-Batavius was left with his mother because his father became addicted to drugs. Traquisha and Tyrell-Batavius moved in with Traquisha's older sister, Franciene in the suburbs of Porlaik. About eleven months after his parents had divorced, Traquisha received word from Édouard-Graeson's friend that he died of a drug overdose. When Tyrell-Batavius was four, Traquisha remarried to millionaire businessmen, Castlo Koster whom she had met at a business interview for his company, which dramatically changed the course of Tyrell-Batavius's life. Tyrell-Batavius and his mother moved back to Vovilveante to live with Koster. At the age of five, he entered private Christian school Central Vovilveante Christian Academy (CVCA). According to his teachers, Tyrell-Batavius maintained mediocre grades and often got into trouble, but was quite curious and frequently asked questions about the topics. From an early age, Tyrell-Batavius excelled at both basketball and football. While he was at the tail-end of grade school, his step-father and mother had their first child, Kristiina.
Tyrell-Batavius did not show any interest in music until the sixth grade when he was assigned the choir elective, despite selecting physical education and art. One day in the passing period after class, his choir teacher Candice Lellic told him that he might be a great singer if he ventured into it. Not long after, Lucaedo and his classmate and now successful musician, Benedikt Gatoleisk were assigned to write their own song in a genre of their choice. Lucaedo and Gatoleisk met after school to begin their project. After brainstorming and coming up with nothing, Lucaedo asked his stepfather for ideas, and he suggested his favorite genre of music, rap. So, he took his suggestion and wrote one with Gatoleisk. The duo quickly fell in love with the genre, and wrote an untitled song that really was above all the other projects. Their choir teacher was so impressed she took them aside to tell them that it was a true gift for them.
Through high school, Lucaedo and Gatoleisk experimented with their newfound hobby by releasing unofficial singles on loudcloud.com. They were instantly famous among classmates at West Broudfeildst High School, and their tunes were even playing over the radio as their high school prank. They really had a foundation in their dream, but unfortunately he and Gatoleisk were going to different schools. Although they were both dedicated to studying music editing, Gatoleisk was approved to get into Hasthuren University, one of the most prestigous schools in all of Denzal, while Lucaedo's grades weren't quite high enough to get into Hasthuren, and was rejected, so instead attended Porlaik University. Despite their friendship, Gatoleisk was not willing to sacrifice his achievement, fearing that if the music business didn't work out, his resume would be quite empty.
Tyrell-Batavius was hurt by his rejection from Hasthuren. But, despite the hardship, he promised himself he would make it work. During his schooling at Porlaik, he was forced to work all the time on the weekends and over the summer, trying to make ends meet. His jobs included volunteering for cleaning other dorm rooms, landscaping, and over the summer, working at the local Dairy King. He studied hard at Porlaik, and finished his tuition with all A's.
Career
He started branding and copyrighting his name before he even graduated college. His decision on what his rapper name should be called was tough, but he eventually landed on New Millenium Shakesphere. He named it this because he recalled his mother's love for plays, being awfully inspired by the vintage works of Shakesphere. He said in an interview, "I didn't think I could be better than Shakesphere, but I thought I could maybe be at an equal level with him. So I guess I'm the modern version of him".
