The next United States general election is scheduled to be held no later than Saturday, May 17, 2025, in accordance with regulations under the Federal Elections Act 1919, Congressional Tenure Act 1955 and the Postal, Provisional and Early Voting Act 2011. Incumbent Chancellor John Fetterman (SDP-PA), leads the SDP/SSD-GRN-FFA Coalition against the Democratic Republican Party, and a diverse crossbench containing various elements of left and right-wing elements. Opposition Leader Nikki Haley (DRP-SC) was sworn in as Leader of the DRP following the 2021 Democratic Republican leadership election at which she beat multiple other candidates and replaced former leader, Mitt Romney.
