Government and politics

From 1978, Nniefang is governed under a one-party socialist system, with the President being the head of government and the Prime Minister the head of state and the one who represents the nation in the abroad. In the 1976-1978 a communist armed uprising ended in a coup against Ramiro Macías government. The political parties Popular Idea of Nniefang and the Democratic Party of Nniefang joined and formed the United National Workers' Party, the sole legal party since 1978 in the coalition People's Front for Socialist Path.

The legislative comprises a unicameral 191-seats legislature, elected in single member constituencies every two years in mid term elections.

Economy

Nniefang develops its economy following a computational central-planned economy, in which the resources are state-owned and distribution calculated by a government-run software.
