Nork, officially the Order of Nork, is a nation in eastern America. It is bordered by Loklan to the northwest and the Misipee Uninhabitable Region to the southwest. It has a coast with the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Canda Gulf to the northeast, the Canda Passage to the eastern north, the Ontro Sea to the central north, and Eery Sea to the western north.
Nork is ranked moderately low for civil liberties and low for political freedom. Anti-Social Actions are a section of laws that essentially control most daily actions of citizens. Penalties for these usually include stays at reeducation camps and in extreme cases, Neuromagnetic Transformative Therapy. The only political party allowed to run for office is the People’s Party of Equality and any opposition is banned and persecuted. Opposition is usually considered an Anti-Social Action and is the highest penalised crime of that type.
Nork has major ties with Magarsha along with economic agreements. Nork also has an extensive transportation network along with colonies all over America and Columbia. None of these colonies are particularly large consisting only of a singular mine, city, transportation port, or military base. This has been difficult due to the raiders and cartels of the Columbian and American Nomadic Regions constantly attacking Norkan colonies. Resulting from this, Nork’s economy is fairly diverse, most of which results from its colonies and manufacturing north.
Etymology
Nork was derived from the United States of America state, New York, which itself got its name from the city of York, now underwater in Tanian territory. It is unknown what the origin of York is.
