Norsau, officially known as the Socialist Federal Republic of Norsau, is a country located in the northern part of Madurin in Teremara. It extends from the Kraslyng Ocean in the north to the Channel and Korint Mountains in the south and is bordered by Pelz to the west. Norsau is currently the fifth most populous country in all of Teremara, with a population of around 62 million. The capital city is Acrebonne, which, along with Hrebenne and Wiselan, forms part of the "Big Three" cities of Norsau.
Norsau is a federal socialist state composed of eight provinces that operates as a council democracy. The current leader of the nation is Premier Oliver Kozijew of the Radical-Socialist Party. The country was reorganized into eight semi-autonomous provinces following the August Revolution of 1924 to, according to the Norsauwian government, ensure equal representation for the historically marginalized southern regions of Norsau in the central government and to prevent the economic exploitation they experienced under the previous monarchist leadership.
