Numbered Highways in Alameda

Numbered highways are split into two separate categories within the Republic of Alameda: Carrateras de Alameda, often simply Carrateras ALM; and Carreteras Estatales. All highways within Alameda, as a result of federal legislation are only allowed to display signs. The only exception to this is for either directional signage for diverging highways, such as C-ALM 81, which diverges into C-ALM 81W and C-ALM 81E.
