Octávia María de las Mercedes Montero Alamilla (born 1 May 1965) is an Escandrian politician and former museum curator, who is currently serving as First Minister of Escandria, since 1 March 2018.

Early life

Octávia María de las Mercedes Montero Alamilla was born on 1 May 1965 in Guadaviedo, Escandria's second city, to Juan Carlos Montero Briones and Patricia Alamilla Díaz, who were both schoolteachers. Montero has two older sisters, Isabel and Alejandra. Alejandra's daughter, Cristina, is married to Prince Pedro Astugón, a great-grandson of the last King of Escandria, Juan VI, and brother of the current pretender to the defunct throne, Prince Nicolás, 5th Duke of Gancia.

When Montero was 4, the family moved to Escandria's capital, Astugón. There, she was educated at the school where her parents worked, the Escuela Sergio Pérez. Montero graduated from Villalba High School in 1983, and then went on to the University of Astugón to study for a bachelor's degree in art history. She graduated in 1987, and then pursued a masters in Museum Studies, which she obtained in 1989.

Career

Montero started her career as a museum curator at the Museo Valdueza de los Artes Visuales in Astugón, in 1989.
