Operation Energetic or as its officially known Military Operational Plan Energetic (Libriran: Военно-Операционный План Энергетика), is a series of Libriran Military Operational Plans part of Situation Plan Orange which covers possible conflicts with the Englean Kaiserreich. Operation Energetic covers military responses to a war with the Kaiserreich, it was originally written in 1920, with new versions being written every 15-20 years to reflect the changing military realities over the years. As with many Military Operational Plans, Energetic has its main offensive component (Energetic), a defensive component (Operation Entropy), an excersise/prepardness component (Operation Escapade), and starting with Energetic III a total nuclear strike option (Operation Extreme).

Background

The original series of Situation and Military Operational plans were written on the back of the revolution of 1894, and the First Global War. The latter conflict revealed that Librira was grossly underprepared for any sort of military operation in this new modern era of warfare. The original series of plans, were each assigned a color and letter, they were also intended to be iterated upon as conditions changed. Operation Energetic and its associated situaion plan, was first written in 1920, and essentially covered a response to englean agression, however as the cold war era began and the military, political and foreign relations situation grew ever more complex the plans were expanded and often have numerous version, depending on ponetial situations, actions, or preemptive options, and as such the over arching MOP have component operations, and individual branches have their own execution operations for Energetic.

Energetic I

Energetic I, was compelted in 1920, and was the final of the original Operational plans, however was the shortest. Due to not sharing a land border with the kaiserreich at the time, the MOP forsaw large amphibous opertaions being conducted against the kaiserreich, and even went so far as to consider beaching the nations ageing battleships, to make them immobile batteries and bunkers to help hold the beachheads. The plan was critisiczed by Military commanders because; 1) Librira lacked a modern enough navy to even consider approaching the Englean coast and 2) Librira lacked the manpower to actually affect a invasion of that scale, at the time the nations military consisted of only 10 permanent divsions, and 2 cavlary battalions. The Situation plan did offer a naval construction program to counter the Englean navy, but it was noted it would take something like 25 years assuming no major naval technological shift.

Energetic II

Following the end of the 2nd Global War the emerging global situation prompted a reconsidering of the original MOPs, and Energetic this time recveived a substainial amount of attention, due to now spliting occupied Rezua with the Kaissrreich the possiblility of a new conflict was palpable, the introduction of the world first nuclear weapons, made the potenteial costs even greater as well. Energetic II, envisioned a period of tension, followed by an opening for a Libriran offensive, it was viewed that the Military should 'blunt the nose' of the Engleans to prevent their own attacks. the objectives of the MOP were as follows; 1) destroy or push back Englean army groups and secure their occupation zone of Rezua, 2) prevent possible Englean nuclear strikes through agressive air superiority and bomber interdiction campaigns, 3) limit the risk of Englean carrier strikes through extensive policing of the Libriran coast, and submarine raids on the Englean coast.

To affect these plans Energetic II called for the formation of integrated GCI units that could move with the army, and new rapid deployment engingeer units that could erect airfields for frontline aircrafts in a limited amount of time. These forward thinking ideas led to the first early implementation of IADS when the system was tested in Operations Escapade III in 1952, and showed the potential efficacy of ground controlled fighters against high flying bombers, even with the limited availability of mobile radar sets at that time. Energetic II was considered the fulcrum of the then current MOPs, and was excersised numerous times until Energetic III was written, Escapade I in 1950, Escapade II in 1951, Escapade III in 1952, Escapade IV in 1955 and Escapade V in 1960.
