Operation Towton, also known as the Loukussa Offensive, was an offensive during the Prodavan War launched in March 1991. Starting early on 15th March, the day after the declaration of war, Major General Phillip Walman's 21,000 men crossed the Prodavan border and fought two victorious actions at Loukussa and Ladlin. Prodavan forces of the Northern Military District under General Hasan Hadi resisted the invasion with the 30,000 troops of the Loukussa area coming under the general command of General Solomon Warabe al-Salah. Over six days of fighting, Walman's corps defeated the Prodavans and occupied the important industrial city of Loukussa.
