Opinion polling for the 1905 Sallian parliamentary election took place from 1 July 1900 to 27 June 1905.
Poll results
Maiden poll
The first poll was taken on 1 July 1900. The results were released the next day:
- Conservative Party - 406
- Liberal Party - 187
- Republican Party - 44
- Labour Representation Alliance - 3
- Others - 10
The poll showed gains for the Liberals and Labour and the minor parties, and minor losses for the Conservatives and the Republicans.
1 August poll
The monthly poll was taken on 1 August 1900:
- Conservative Party - 406
- Liberal Party - 199
- Republican Party - 36
- Labour Representation Alliance - 5
- Others - 3
The poll showed dramatically reduced support for the Republican Party after their July votes against the Bill of Rights (1900) in Parliament and large gains for the Liberal Party.
1 September poll
The monthly poll was taken on 1 September 1900:
- Conservative Party - 403
- Liberal Party - 202
- Republican Party - 40
- Labour Representation Alliance - 5
- Others - 0
The poll showed dramatic losses for independents and minor parties and the steady drop of the Conservative Party.
1 October poll
The monthly poll was taken on 1 October 1900:
- Conservative Party - 401
- Liberal Party - 203
- Republican Party - 37
- Labour Representation Alliance - 7
- Others - 2
The Liberal Party continued to rise, while the Conservative Party continued to fall.
