Unofficially nicknamed the "Aquila," the Latin word for eagle, the Or-1000 was developed as a long-range strategic reconnaissance aircraft capable of flying at speeds over Mach 4 and at 85,000 feet. Intended to directly compete with the rumoured spy aircraft of nations like Ghawkins and the Aurora Confederacy, the Orangeblossom Or-1000 serves a vital niche spot for the Blackhelm Confederate Air Force, allowing them to to immediately gather real time intelligence on developing situations around the Mare Ferum in a much shorter time than it would take for a satellite to move into position and relay the same information.

The aircraft is constructed of a titanium alloy, and covered in radar-absorbing materials to help shrink the aircrafts radar size as much as possible. Additionally, substances are added to the fuel in order to help disguise the exhaust plumes that could potentially be detected as the aircraft flies over enemy territory. Not only this, but several classified measures have been taken to help ensure the engines stay with as small a detection range as possible, while at the same time allowing the aircraft to reach speeds as fast as nearly Mach 5.
