The Orangais Socialist Republic (Liguersien: República soçialista auranjèsa, RSA) is one of the constituent republics of the Champanois Federative Socialist Republic. It was created in 1945 following the federalization of Champania. Orange is comprised of the cantons of Cassavia, Dauphiny, Prouvènça, and the autonomous regions of Brigançon and Aubaret-lo-Comtal. With a population 8 million, it makes up approximative 60% of Champania's total population.

History

Orange is composed of the cantons of Cassavia, Dauphiny, and Prouvença, all three of which had been under the control of Gaullica in some form until the Entente's defeat in the Great War.

In 50 BCE, the Solarian Empire invaded and conquered the eastern portion of Orange up to the Ligüer river. Brigantium, which later became Brigançon, was founded during this time, initially as a military outpost. Over the course of the 3rd century, various Gaullic tribes, most notably the Arausici, pushed the Solarians out of Orange. In 525 CE, the Arausici were defeated by the Verliquoian Emperor Merovigin and Orange was brought under Gaullican control.

  • Kasavrine stuff?
  • !Hussite Wars during late 1400s. Amendist Reaction and later Amendist War saw the Lloraine Crusade take place and the population of Orange forcibly converted to Catholicism.
  • Brief "Republic of Orange" established during the Etrurian Revolutionary Wars and Euclean Spring
  • 19th century saw rapid industrialization as massive coal deposits and the location of several cities on the Ligüer river created an industrial boom. (Ruhr boom?)
  • Independence declared in closing weeks of the Great War, at the war's conclusion in Euclea, referendum held that joined Orange with Bregalia
