Oritiva Palace
Oritiva Palace (Spanish: Palacio de Oritiva) is the official residence of the President of Escandria, and it also serves as the office's of the presidential staff and a number of governmental departments.
The palace was built in 1771 by Carlos II of Escandria, as the new royal residence in the capital of Astugón. It was the birthplace of many Escandrian monarchs, and was the centre of Escandrian courtly life for the last century of the monarchy's reign.
When the monarchy was abolished in 1878, the new government of Escandria took over the palace complex and repurposed it into governmental offices and function rooms. In 1880, Abel Domínguez Merino was the first President of Escandria to use state apartments in the palace as an official residence. Since then, all Presidents have lived at the palace whilst serving their terms in office.
Other governmental departments that have offices in the palace complex include the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and Social Care, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of the Treasury.
