Pagona, officially the State of Pagona, is a nation in southern Columbia and west-northwestern-0 Antarctica. In Columbia it has a coast with the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Hoces Sea to the south, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. In Antarctica it has a coast with the Bellingshausen Sea to the west, the Hoces Sea to the north, the Southern Ocean to the northeast, the Wedel Sea to the east, and the Ronny Sea to the south.

Pagona is ranked high for civil liberties and moderately high for political freedom. Since Pagona created its first constitution, it has had high ratings of civil liberties, which directly contrasts to its very low ratings prior. Since then, Pagonan governors have gradually been broadening political freedom and stabilising the government to be less authoritarian.

Pagona is extremely isolated from the rest of the world and it is a highly self-sustaining country. Pagona has extensive clean energy farms throughout and agriculture is prevalent. Pagona has few mineral resources, most of which come from its Antarctic territory. Tourism has only just begun to take hold and it is expected to be a worldwide destination by 3020.

Etymology

Pagona was named after the historical region of Patagonia which encompased most of Pagona's current Columbian territory. The name is derived from the term patagón, which was the name given to the natives by Ferdinand Magellan. This term has an unknown origin.
