The Parliament is the bicameral, supreme legislature of Faelan. It is composed of a lower house, the House of Delegates (Faelish: Comhairle na Toscairi), and an upper house, the House of Lords (Faelish: Comhairle na Tirna'ni). The 90 members of the House of Delegates are elected from single-member constituencies using instant-runoff voting; this house is the more powerful of the two, with the sole powers to scrutinise the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and to approve the budget. The House of Lords is comprised of only 12 members: the Hlafoird (hereditary rulers) and Maoir (stewards) of each of the six Cuigi (chiefdoms).
