The Party of the Aininian Minority (PMA, SMP, Mespalian Særpælæizen minorîtin pârti, French: Parti de la minorité aininienne) is a political party representing the interests of the Aininian minority in Mespalia.
During the 19th century, interests of Aininians who were mostly wealthy aristocrats and bourgeoise were represented by the Conservative Party. However, by the early 19th century a significant minority of Mespalian Aininians had developed who were either poor or liberal and did not support the conservative ideals promoted by the Conservatives. In addition, as native Mespalians began joining the Conservatives in larger numbers, the party began focusing less and less on the interests of Mespalian Aininians. Thus in 1931, the Party of the Aininian Minority was founded to represent all Mespalian Aininians, regardless of class.
Ever since its founding, PMA's main focus has been on promoting the interests of Mespalian Ainians. It is a staunch proponent of bilingualism and supports the mandatory study of French in all Mespalian schools. It supports stronger ties with Ainin, while economically is centrist. The party describes itself as socially liberal and has supported many progressive causes, including same-sex marriage and decreasing the voting age.
