Petra State Highway 22 is a major north-south highway serving western Petra. The highway has largely been replaced by Interstate 35 for long distance travel between Shelby and Cedartown, with the section from Cedartown down into Albany being entirely replaced by the interstate, and the state has released the right-of-way to local governments.
