Political Category Status (Sharifistan)

Political Category Status is a status providing certain privileges to members of paramilitaries in the 2nd Sharifistani Civi War (except Al-Qaeda, ISIS and the Christian Liberation Army) convicted of certain politically motivated offences.

Requirements

To qualify for political category status inmates must be: A member of a political paramilitary faction solely serving time for offences against the government and/or violence in the heat of battle.

Privileges

Exemption from work in support of the war effort.

High ranks to be exempt from work, middle ranks to work in a supervisory capacity.

The right to more visits than other prisoners including the right of high ranks to have conjugal visits at any time (provided their spouse consents at the time).

Right to unlimited political insignia.

Right to organise cultural and education activities amongst themselves.

Right to wear paramilitary dress uniforms. The right to be housed with other Political Category prisoners of the same faction, and to freely associate with prisoners of that faction.
