The Popular Alliance of Socialists & Democrats (Ostisk: Populär Allians av Socialister och Demokrater; PA/PASD), usually referred to as The Popular Alliance (Ostisk: Folkalliansen), was a social democratic political party in Ordennya that existed from 2007 until 2018. It was founded by a merger of the centre-left Labour Party, the centrist Democratic Centre Party, the social-liberal Civic Alliance Party, and the left-wing Socialist People's Party. From 2007 to 2015, the PASD was the Official Opposition party in Ordennya, until it formed a coalition government with the Green Party after the 2015 general election. It dissolved in 2018, after splitting into the Labour Party and the New Democratic Party.
In the run-up to the 2005 election, discussions were held between the Labour Party, the Democratic Centre Party, and the Green Party about presenting a common programme and a joint list of candidates for the election, to increase their chances of winning re-election. These negotiations fell through, however, when a common leader for the joint list could be agreed upon after incumbent Prime Minister, independent Johan Olsson, declined to seek a second term. As a result, the three parties campaigned separately. When the election resulted in the Conservative Party winning an outright majority with 50% of the popular vote, as well as breakthroughs for smaller left wing and centrist parties, further discussions were held over a two-year period between 2005 and 2007 with the aim of forming a new political party to contest the next election, and avoid a repeat of the Conservative Party's victory.
