Potaxiene is a province in Western Floptropica. With over 1.3 million residents across a total area of approximately 1,100 square miles (2,850 km2), it is the most populous Floptropican province, and the largest Floptropican province by area. Potaxiene borders Nickitea to the east, and C.V.M. to the south. The Greater Ciudad Potaxie and Fort Ranpapi area in Potaxiene are the nation's most populated urban areas. Greater Ciudad Potaxie (including Port Ranpapi and surrounding cities in Nickitea) has over 1 million residents. Ciudad Potaxie County is the nation's most populous county. Ciudad Potaxie is the province's capital.
The province's extremely diverse geography ranges from the Lago Coochay coast and beaches in the north to the coastal mountains in the southwest, and from the pine forests in the north to the sloughs and wetlands in the south. Two-thirds of the nation's earthquake risk lies in Potaxiene. Droughts and wildfires are an ongoing issue for the province, particularly in the central valley, where most of the population lives. The Tampoon Fire took place just outside of Ciudad Potaxie.
