The Paravat-class corvette is a warship built by Pereda Construción Naval Consolidada of Rucesion, Temuair, and intended to replace the outdated Soumi-class patrol corvettes in service. The Pravat-class is intended to be utilized in a variety of rules, including anti-ship or anti-submarine warfare, and air defense.

Development

Design

The Pravat-class is equipped with a combat data management and communications system provided by Hybrasil, which provide the vessel with multiple offensive and defensive capabilities, such as targeting, weapon status, and threat evaluation information is available to all fire control and launcher systems via the ship's unified datalink.

The ships electro-optic surveillance and fire control system, provided by Nuadhaich. features a 8x12-micron third-generation thermal imager, TV camera and laser rangefinder.

Radar

The Pravat-class is equipped with an advanced S-band radar designed and produced by Graymayre. The Graymayre-410 is a multi-function AESA radar and can be utilized to detect, track and engage both surface and air targets. The radar system is made up of 4 active arrays, with each array oriented to cover a different direction. The Graymayre-410 features Electronic counter-countermeasures designed to allow it to identify and engage targets possessing low radar cross-sections, such as UAV's, cruise missiles, and stealth aircraft, as well as allowing it to operate in a heavy jamming environment. The Graymayre-410, as an ASEA radar, benefits from a low probability of intercept of emitted signals which helps the vessel remain undetected while tracking or engaging targets. The Graymayre-410 can track over one hundred targets simultaneously. According to sources within the Imperial Navy testing, the Graymayre-410 detected sea-skimming anti-ship missiles at distances greater than 25 kilometers, and fighter aircraft at over 250 km.

Weapons systems

The Pravat-class is equipped to preform a variety of missions, including attacking enemy vessels, preforming anti-submarine warfare operations, or providing air defense. The vessel utilizes the Areiva Arpón anti-aircraft missiles, a weapon formally only used by the Imperial Army and Imperial Air Force for static defense. It boats a range of over 120 kilometers, and utilizes the Dachaidh satellite navigation system, as well as an active Ku band radar seeker. The VLS system for the Areiva Arpón is located on the ships bow.

For anti-ship work, the vessel is equipped with the Areiva Espada-SLV missiles. These missiles are carried in two 8-cell launchers located amidships. The Espdad-SLV is 8.9 m long and features a range of over 300 km at pseeds of over Mach 2.9, and is equipped with a 400 kg warhead.

The ship is equipped with a single Brais Roi Arsenal CDP-35/95 35 mm close in defense system, and also has a single 533 mm triple torpedo tube. Countermeasures include the Dall electronic warfare and jamming suite, as well as the Aite Defensive System Suite, which induces towed torpedo decoys, we well as chaff and decoy flare launchers are mounted on the forward and aft towers. In addition, the Aite DSS includes a combination radar and laser warning receiver, and passive RF corner reflector decoy system, which is effective against anti-ship missiles with chaff discrimination algorithms.

Helicopter

The Pravat-class is equipped with a single Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk and the aircraft hanger has the capacity to full house the helicopter. It is used for anti-submarine warfare and search and rescue operations.
