Princess Connie (Connie Lauren Hanover; born 11 May 2004) is a member of the British royal family. The only daughter of Prince William, Duke of Clarence and St Andrews and Danish actress Connie Nielsen, she is sixth in line of succession to the throne.

Early Life

Connie was born on May 11, 2004 as the second child and only daughter of Prince William, Duke of Clarence and St Andrews and Danish actress Connie Nielsen at her family's residence of Kensington Palace. She was named Connie Lauren Hanover in honour of both her mother and grandmother.

For the first six years of her life, Connie enjoyed a relatively modest upbringing alongside her brother Albert, whom she was said to be close with. At the age of five, she enrolled at a local kindergarten school in London which was said to be within walking distance from their home, as per her mother's suggestion who wanted to avoid from having to face the London traffic, which the former once referred to as "sickening" on a daily basis in sending her daughter to school. Two years later, she then enrolled at the Perrymount Primary School where she exhibited much interest in drawing though the princess performed modestly in her other subjects. In a later interview, the princess spoke passionately of her drawing interests, "As most people believe in, drawing do really connects you to the world in a much pleasant, and harmonious way as you try to draw it yourself". Upon completing primary school, she went on to enroll at the Regent High School where she met her cousin Mary, to which the two princesses instantly formed a strong bond with each other.

As of 2021, she is currently studying at her high school and was among the numbers of students who protested against the government's usage of artificial intelligence in determining examination scores for students, though Connie herself was not physically present at the protests, opting instead on voicing her frustration through social media. On August 22nd, Connie and her cousin Mary co-hosted a video conference session titled Students' Plight on the video communications application Zoom, which recorded a massive participation of more than 200 students and parents.
