Private militias in the Blackhelm Confederacy

Private militias in the Blackhelm Confederacy represent an array of groups and organizations that maintain paramilitary structures but are not a part of the formalized structure of the Blackhelm Confederate Military. Private militias are employed by corporations, large landowners, and even special interest groups across the country. By far, the largest private militia within the Blackhelm Confederacy is operated by the Griffincrest Corporation, which maintains a force of nearly a million men and has naval and aerial assets in addition to its ground forces.

Although these militias are privately owned, it is very common for militias to be hired by the Blackhelm Confederate Army for a variety of tasks, and as such several militias are considered to be their own units of Confederate army, albeit with seperate command structures, procurement protocols, and recruitment methods.
