Promida is a nation in eastern central Mars. It is bordered by Traxa to the west, Tirena to the north, and Gang Territory to the east, south, and southwest.
Promida ranks moderately for civil liberties and very low for political freedom. Promida has flaws in all aspects of civil liberties. Restrictions on all liberties with harsh penalties make Promida fairly unsafe, especially since the Lord has the ability to change laws at will. There are no elected officials in the country, and politics is extremely restrictive.
Promida has a crude economy that is highly unregulated and unstable. Many metallic products and high-technology tools are produced in Promida. Promida mainly trades with warlords and gangs in the Gang Territory. Promida is also deeply involved in the illegal market.
Etymology
Promida is likely an altered spelling of Promethei which was the name for a large area of Mars east of the Hella crater. This name was created from the ancient Greek god Prometheus. It is unknown why the area was named after the Prometheus.
