Punks Against Lokoso (PAL) was a semi-serious political organization that existed for almost two years during Peter Lokoso's term as the Prime Minister of Garetolia. The group was created by members of the University of Garetolia Ule'eka (UGU) student body as a form of protest against Lokoso's conservative policies.
In May of 1988, Lokoso stated in an interview, "if we have to put these punks away for breaking the law, so be it," in response to the rise in the number of youth-related crimes in the previous few months, and restating his administration's strict anti-drug standpoint. In response, members of UGU's student body created Punks Against Lokoso, its name a callback to the statement, that advocated for anarchy. Eventually, UGU students staged a walkout and later formed a crowd of demonstrators in Admiralty Square.
PAL became redundant after the 1989 Garetolian general election, which Lokoso lost. On 12 December 1989, the UGU student body president, Tona Mokopo, sent out a message of gratitude to all who had participated in the organization's efforts, stating "our efforts, your allegiance are no longer needed."
