Ríobhca beáth t-Annraoi (Emnian pronunciation: [ɾʲiːvˠkə bʲaː t̪ˠ‿aːn̪ˠɾˠiː], born 5 May 1981) is an Emnian politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Emnia since 2021 and has been the leader of the Labour Party since 2017. She has represented her home constituency of Laoichis since 2008, and previously held the office of Minister of Social Welfare from 2011 to 2014.
Early Life
Ríobhca was born in Ceadlaidhimh and grew up in the nearby small town of Laoichis; her father is Sudric architect and naturalised Emnian citizen Henry Lakeland, and her mother is Líosa beáth Dhiarmaid, a schoolteacher and lifelong member of the local government in Laoichis. During her time at her hometown's secondary school, she developed an interest in politics.
Political Career
From 2002 to 2004, Ríobhca was active on the municipal council of Laoichis. She briefly would serve on the municipal council again in 2010, but was forced to leave this position due to other political commitments.
In the general election of 2005, Ríobhca was elected to the Sainidinn to represent Laoichis, being at the time the youngest member of the legislature at 24.
In January of 2007, together with her colleague Feardorcha béinn Máirín, Ríobhca initiated the Liberal Group, a network of liberal-minded people both inside and outside of the Sainidinn.
Ríobhca would frequently serve as a member of the Emnian delegation to the World Assembly from 2008 to 2011. She was elected as leader and party president of the Labour Party in 2017, succeeding Sighle beáth Ros. Ríobhca criticised the government of which she was a part for its inability to keep up the pace of reform that had been part of their former platform, and urged a revival. These points were met with fierce opposition from other parties — particularly from the Conservative Party and the Temple Democratic Party.

On 6 August 2020, Ríobhca dismissed Athracht beáth Chaomhán, the director-general of the Agency for Regional Development after it became known that her agency had spent approximately 16 million pounds on banquets, kickoffs, and hotel stays for its personnel and conferences, contrary to both the agency's own rules and Emnian law.
Prime Minister (2021—present)

Ríobhca was appointed Prime Minister on 14 October 2021, following the Labour Party's victory in the parliamentary elections. She formed a minority government comprising the Labour Party and the Centre Party. Her government issued its ascension declaration on 18 October, where major parts of the government's platform were reiterated.
Ríobhca announced early in her tenure that her government would work with measures to act against increasing electricity prices, and indicated that this could be in place within a "short timespan". In a parliamentary session a week after assuming office, she defended the notion of increasing the sales tax on more expensive electric cars, stating that the money earned would be used to help construct new charging stations. She further stated that her government would take initiative in discussions with the Calatanian Union about how to strengthen their cooperation in order to achieve their climate goals.
In an interview with La Financière, Ríobhca stated that if Emnia were to halt its petrochemical industry, it would only contribute to further struggle to reach climate goals. She went on to say, "we should develop towards a transition" towards green energy from fossil fuels, and "not close it down." She noted it was a paradox that Emnia, as Calatania's largest petroleum producer, also spends significant funds on investment in green technology such as electric cars, carbon capture and storage, and offshore wind energy.
Ríobhca announced that a reduction in fuel prices would be implemented in the 2022 state budget, while also expressing continued concern about the increasing cost of electricity. She further said that the revised budget would be presented on 8 November. She also expressed that municipal economies should be strengthened so that they can offer better welfare services.
