Torpedos

In addition to a plethora of UAVs, anti-ship missiles, and other land- and air-based missiles, Posadastan maintains a robust selection of torpedos. This includes the following:

  • Val-1, formerly the main torpedo, still in limited use with a range between 8 and 15km.
  • Val-2, still in heavy by the Posadi navy, mass production began in 2003. They have a range of 15km with upgraded versions (post-2023) having "increased anti-jamming capabilities," and most variants having warheads ranging between 220 and 300kg.
  • Val-3, the primary torpedo used by Posadi warships, it has a range of 45km and has been produced since 2013, an upgraded variant uses a modified warhead that uses a sodium-water reaction to damage the target even if it fails to hit.
  • Hut, a supercavitation torpedo, unveiled in 2025 with estimated speeds of up to 360km/h (100m/s). Most details on this torpedo are unknown, but it has an estimated range of 10-15km.

Marine Mammal Program

This program was founded in 1975 as an initiative to combine the forces of humans and our cetacean allies, a central tenet of Posadist ideology. While it remains extremely secretive, it does make public the “rescue” aspect, where many dolphins are trained for rescuing divers and people lost at sea. The program has also made public many aspects of its training dolphins to “communicate” with their trainers.

It is believed the program makes use of nearly 90 to 100 dolphins, including a breeding program to maintain its population. Most of the dolphins are maintained for experimentation and search & rescue, but some have been weaponized, mostly to stand guard outside naval facilities, track down mines, reconnaissance of enemy naval vessels, and in some cases they have allegedly been turned into “suicide bombers” to suicidally attack enemy targets if necessary.

The program has a network of inland and coastal facilities, comprising 5 total facilities with anywhere from 8 to 32 dolphins per facility. There is also a fleet of small ships, submersibles, and planes to transport and monitor the dolphins at all times. The program also trains some sea lions, and has looked into the use of beluga whales.
