Rabensberg, officially the Municipality of Rabensberg, is a city in the Grand Duchy of Radictistan. It is located within the County of Norcustsur west of the county seat, Hartfer. Rabensberg is home to Rabensberg Heavy Industries, a manufacturer of rail vehicles and construction equipment.

Government

Rabensberg uses a mayor-council system of government. The mayor, referred to as a Statmeister in the Radictistani language, is elected by a popular vote for a two-year term of office. Rabensberg and parts of the neighboring departments are represented in the House of Delegates by Klas Bayer who is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.

Geography

Rabensberg is nestled within the Norbargen chain near Radictistan's northern land border. The borders of the municipality contain a total area of 368 square kilometers. The nearby Manfredsbarg stands at 3,219 meters elevation.

Demography

The municipality has a resident population of 203,115 persons in 84,246 households. Population density is 551.94 persons per square kilometer. The racial makeup is 97.5% White, 1.2% Arab, and 1.3% all other races including multiracial persons. Median household income is $6,579.

Economy

The economy of Rabensberg is centered around manufacturing. The largest employer is Rabensberg Heavy Industries which has its corporate headquarters and largest production facility within the municipality. It employs 22,000 people in Rabensberg, close to two-thirds of its total workforce. Rabensberg produces railroad locomotives and rolling stock plus mining and construction equipment. Other industrial employers include a small ball bearings plant and a furniture factory.

Transport

The municipality is served by Rabensberg Airport. Rabensberg Airport is the primary hub for Mountain Airways, a regional airline which operates both cargo and passenger services, the latter for Norcust Aviation. The city is also connected to the national rail network and daily passenger services are operated by Royal Radictistan Railways. Rabensberg is connected to Hartfer and other Norcustsur cities by Grafatban 15. The local public transit provider, the Rabensberg Municipal Transit Authority, operates bus and trolley bus services.

Media

In addition to the national public broadcaster, the Radictistan Broadcasting Service, Rabensberg is served by radio and television from a local network, R2, and a small number of independent broadcasters. The Rabensberger Zeitung is the sole daily newspaper.

Sport

The municipality is home to the Rabensberg Schweisern football club and the Rabensberg Express rugby team.
