The Radical Party (Atlantican: Frjálslyndi flokkurinn) is a major Liberal party in Atlantica, and the second-largest party in Atlantica and the largest opposition party in Atlantica. The oldest political party in Atlantica, the Radical Party has consistently been one of the two major parties in Atlantican politics, except from the 1920s to the 1960s when it was one of the smallest parties in Atlantican politics.
Historically on the left of Atlantican politics, the rise of the Socialist-Farmer-Labour Party and its status as the dominant left-wing party have placed the Radical Party on the right of Atlantican politics. Historically the majority of the party's base came from the working class, attracted to the Radicals' policies of land reform, support of free and compulsory education and opposition to banning unions or crushing strikes, but with the rise of the Socialist-Farmer-Labour Party this is no longer the case, and today the majority of support for the Radical Party comes from the upper class and the upper-middle class.
