Farstföde Rasmer, Rosen sam bran, din aldsta, Visre Rasmir, Rasmir radman (The firstborn Rasmer, The rose that burned, the oldest, Wise Rasmer, the counciler Rasmer) is the oldest (or second oldest god in Draktro) of all the gods and he is the old rose born again and is the god of wisdom that sits on his golden throne with a blind owls on each shoulder telling him news from around the word that they can see in the fire that is always burning before Rasmers throne.

Gudaföljare

Amongst those that are the followers of the mainstream branch of the holy chronicles so is Rasmer the king of the gods, he rules supreme and it is to him the first prayer always go.

Draktra

In Draktran that is worshipped in Karmanjaka so is Rasmer however just the god of wisdom and in that branch of the faith is he depicted as the right hand man and benevolent advisor to Drakoor the god of dragons.

Jarntra

in Jarntran worshiped amongst the islands and the southernmost coastal regions However so are the gods divided into two kingdoms, gods of the land and gods of the sea and sailing, while Rasmer and Arv the god of the ocean both share kingship like was common amongst the islands so do they rule their own fiefs. Arv rules the sea and under him is Nardvir, Asarl, Bel and Hasur while Rasmer rules the other gods as an equal to Arv.

Birth

Rasmer was not born but rather reborn as his first shape was a massive rose in the northern iceplains that were widely known for it's wisdom and many humans and non-humans visited it to ask for it's advice. Amongst these were the daughter of a powerful troll chieftain named Egrili. While she hailed from a powerful family, being of one of the taller and more imposing troll races and had riches aplenty from raids southwards against the Wharen empire so did she not take husbands as she had fallen in love with the rose.

One evening did she sneak away from her tribe and laid with the rose for nine days and nine nights before she finally returned back to her tribe heavy with child. When the troll chieftain got to know who the father was did he gather his men and put the rose to the torch and for nine days and nine nights did the rose burn until nothing remained by a large pile of ash.

However on the tenth day did a young human emerge with his head shining like fire and from the remaining wines did he make a spear, a shield and clothes before he marched towards the trolls. He killed the entire tribe in a wild fury and took the troll woman, that now had given birth to a young daughter named Helia, as his first wife.

Rasmer in the sagas

Rasmer himself is not often directly involved in the tales but often offered suggestions and advice to heroes or gods or giving them gifts to help them. He often appear in two shapes, either in full regalia as the king of the gods in long ornate robes, head burning and a regal helmet on his head or as a old wanderer in tattered clothes. But he from time to time also appeared as a young maiden wearing clothes neither torn nor rich.

Just like Bel and Adasir so is he one of the most stern gods, quick to scold people for their mistakes and punish them for slights and hubris and very often judging to the letter of the law. However so is Rasmer also at the same time very generous and known to reward good deeds and piety greatly.

Children

Rasmer is the father of several children, first and foremost is his daughters Helia, lif and Mirviva that became goddesses but Ramser both fathered and gave birth to several demigods as well, the most well known is Skrif that was according to legend responsible for creating the oldest form of Scanderan runes and some of the oldest runestones found was indeed written by a Skrif, however if this was the legendary demigod or a mortal named after him is not known.

Worship of Rasmer

Amongst Gudsfaljare so is Rasmer the most important of the gods as the king of the divines and any prayer begins with a blessing to him as the king of the gods and during blots so are animals sacrificed to Rasmer and the blood is used to paint trees while the meat is eaten by the worshipers just like most gods sacrifices in that sect. Similarly so does people of Draktra and Jarntra both sacrifice to Rasmer in the normal order of their sects either by throwing the sacrifice into lakes in Jarntra or by burning it in dragonfire in Draktra.
