The Realm of Thorns (Amathian: Ⰽⱍⰹⰲⰵⱃⱀⰹⰰ Ⱄⱂⰹⱀⰹⰾⱁⱃ, tr. Chivernia Spinilor) was a theocratic absolute monarchy that existed in Central Euclea from 1340 to 1439, being centered in today's Amathia. It was created after the fall of the Empire of Arciluco by the iconoclastic Order of the Thorns, which banished the last Arcilucan ruler and sought to create a religious and monastic state over the territories of the former empire. The religious fanaticism of the order's members and their aggressive stance of their new state against holy icons and Episemialism brought it into conflict with many of its neighbors, playing an important role in the beginning of the Iconoclast Wars, with the Iconoclastic "Spinarian" school of thought inspiring Iconoclasts throughout much of the Episemialist Western Euclea.
