The RITA (short for Reppu Industries and Tenryu Airspace) I-17 Akagi is a 7th generation fighter developed for the Azurnailian Military. It was first revealed in 2024 at the 7th gen Flyoff, when it flew against competitors IX-8s Rairyu and IAX-16 Iwate. The Akagi was selected despite its experimental forward swept wing style. Codenamed "Project 7" The project was declassified in 2024 after the September Declassification acts. It was revealed to have two Railguns on its wings, along with provision for 4 RAM-5 QAAMs and two RAM-6 SASMs. It has a 20mm Autocannon located on its nose. It is primarily used by the Azurnailian Strategic Fighter squadrons (ASFS). It also has the SUKOHAI AI, programmed to assist the pilot (C Variant) and fly on its own (V variant).
