On 20 November 2022, the Queen moved to Sandringham House for the duration of the holiday season. [1] While at Sandringham, she delivered the Addresses for Thanksgiving [2] and Christmas [3]. She remained at Sandringham until New Year's Day.

Dalkeith Palace

The Queen bought Dalkeith Palace from the Scott family on 5 December 2022, as a personal residence. She, later, registered it as an Estate with the Home Office later in December 2022.

Dublin Castle

On 1 January 2023, the Queen took up residence in Dublin Castle. In a statement released on the same day, she hoped it would be "...the start of a new tradition where the Sovereign journeys to Ireland to celebrate the New Year." [4]
