The Ritterpanzerkampfwagen II, also known as the Tigrinus, is a heavy tank in used by the Imperial & Federal Common Army. It is usually deployed in independent regiments, intended to provide heavy support for Common Army panzer and infantry divisions. The Ritterpanzer was developed in order to provide a mobile firebase, capable of shifting considerable combat power across the battlefiled along with the advance. It is heavily armed and armoured, and is reknown for its resilience and firepower on the battlefield. While slow and occasionally prone to faults in its propulsion system, the Tigrinus has earned a place of honour in the Common Army's arsenal.
The Tigrinus's chassis has been the basis of many variants and other vehicles, most intended to provide a chassis powerful enough to carry and utilise some of the Common Army's heavier wepons, with sufficient protection and mobility. Many of these variant vehicles are also deployed in independent battalions, although the concentration of these heavy Tigrinus-chassis into heavy tank regiments--or even divisions--has been considered by the Common Army.

Jagdritter II
The Jagdritter II, commonly known as the Loxodon is a variant of the Ritterpanzer II, focusing on anti-armoured warfare. The Loxodon is part of the 'tank hunter' series of specialist vehicles produced specifically for engagements of heavily armoured targets, including hostile super heavy armour. The Loxodon uses the Ritterpanzer II's basic hull form, but eschews a turret and conventional turreted macrocannon for an armoured casemate mounting a Mark VII-P Reiger Lance. The P series lance is designed for in-atmosphere operations, to compensate for the excessive degradation of lance beams in atmosphere, but requires a large generator series to operate, which the Loxodon can provide. The lance is intended to disable and destroy hostile armoured targets at extreme range, well before they can retaliate. It is heavily armoured and shielded, so as to ward off counter-fire.
Like the Ritterpanzer, the Loxodon is usually deployed as the anti-tank component of an heavy tank regiment or division, although independent battalions or even batteries are occasionally broken off to provide direct support to a nearby unit. .
